TERMS OF RENTAL PADDELKOMPANIETBooking and paymentA booking fee of 50 % of the total rental cost shall be provided the canoe renter within 10 days from the time of booking. If the total cost does not exceed 700 SEK the entire amount will be taken out as booking fee. If the client chooses to pay the full amount at any one time, refunds take place as follows in case of cancellation.
If 13 days or less remain until the rental starts, the entire amount shall be provided the canoe/kayak renter within 24 hours after booking, of which 50 % are regarded as booking fee. If the total amount does not exceed 700 SEK the entire amount will be taken out out as booking fee.
The final payment shall be provided the canoe/kayak renter not later than 3 days before the rental starts. The voucher shall always be presented to the staff at the canoe/kayak center at the time of rental. Hiring of additional equipment and purchase of fishing licenses can be made in cash in SEK, by card or swish.
If the booking fee/final payment is not paid in the manner specified in these terms of rental the reservation will be automatically cancelled.
CancellationFor cancellations made later than 7 days before the rental begins, in the case cancellation insurance has not been signed, an administrative fee of 50 SEK per canoe/kayak, and any fee for reimbursement via post/bank will be taken out.
If you cancel between 6 and 3 days before the rental begins, the booking fee is not refundable (50 % of the total cost if it exceeds 700 SEK, otherwise the full amount).
If you cancel less than 3 days before the rental begins, the full rental prices is taken out.
If Paddelkompaniet is unable to implement the rental, the full amount paid will be refunded.
Cancellation insuranceCancellation insurance can only be signed at the time of booking and provides for the reimbursement of the entire rental cost at cancellation, excluding the cost of the cancellation insurance and possible fees for reimbursement via post/bank. Cancellation must be made no later than 12 pm the day before the hiring begins on telephone +46 457 803 00. The cancellation insurance amounts to 75 SEK per canoe/single kayak, 100 SEK per double kayak, 150 SEK per camping package or 600 SEK per tipi package.
Billing
The invoice
is sent when confirming the reservation (with exception for schools,
see below). The invoice shall be paid within 10 days and a fee of 30 SEK
is added.
Group discount
Groups (not schools, see below),
which are hiring 10 canoes/kayaks or more are offered 10 % discount on
the normal price of the hired equipment, but not on the service fee or
transports.
Special offers for schools
During
the school year, when hiring 10 canoes/kayaks or more, all schools
associated with Ronneby Municipality are offered a discount of 25 % on
the regular price of the hired equipment, but not on the service fee or
transports. When hiring fewer than 10 canoes/kayaks, schools in Ronneby
Municipality are offered 15 % off the regular price on the hired
equipment.
When renting 10 canoes/kayaks or more during the
school year, other schools not associated with Ronneby Municipality are
offered a discount of 15 % on the regular price of the hired equipment,
but not on the service fee or transports. When hiring fewer than 10
canoes/kayaks, schools not associated with Ronneby Municipality are
offered 10 % discount on the normal price of the hired equipment.
Schools are billed after the end of canoe trip.
Packages
When
booking packages, the same booking and cancellation conditions applies
as for canoes/kayaks. A cancellation insurance can not be signed when
booking packages.
Set paddling because of strong winds
If
the wind is very strong, the client and the canoe/kayak renter can jointly
determine if it is safer to stay on land and postpone the trip to
another time, when the client can be credited with all fees paid. Note
that this must be a joint decision. The weather can not be assessed
right from elsewhere or from inside a window.
Set paddling due to changes in water level
At
significantly altered water levels (extremely high or low), after
careful consideration based on facts collected, the canoe renter can
take the decision to cancel the paddling because of increased
risk/difficulty for the client to implement it. The client must in these
cases accept the decision and will be offered to postpone the trip to a
later date when all the fees paid can be credited.
Force majeure
Paddelkompaniet has the right to cancel the rental in case of force majeure such as war, strikes, lockouts or disaster.
Liabilities and responsibilities
The start/end time of the paddle tour that the client has
indicated when ordering the equipment must be kept. Any delays should be
notified at the latest one hour before the start/end of the
rental on telephone number +46 457 80300 (or +46 763 412066). As the
canoe/kayak centers are not staffed full-time and the staff also drive the
canoe/kayak transports, there is no guarantee that the staff is in place for
appointments not kept or if delays are reported.
The canoe transports
depart from Karlsnäsgården canoe center at 12.30 pm every
day except Wednesdays and Sundays unless otherwise agreed. The customer shall, if
nothing else has been agreed, be helpful in loading canoes and
equipment, that are then unloaded in the most logical order,
starting at the places situated closest to Karlsnäsgården. The customer
shall arrive well in advance in order to obtain information and if
necessary to help loading the canoes and equipment. Paddelkompaniet cannot
await delayed customers since this affects other customers. Delays
shall be reported as soon as possible on phone number +46 457 80300 so
that re-scheduling of the transports can be done in the best possible
way. Paddelkompaniet cannot guarantee that the transport of a delayed
customer's equipment will take place on the same day, but the delayed
customer will have to wait till the next transport where there is enough
space, which can normally take place at the latest on the following day.
When
ordering kayak transports the customer must be in place at the agreed time when the kayaks are delivered and/or picked up, and be helpful in loading/unloading unless otherwise agreed. If the delay has not been
notified, the customer will be charged 200 SEK at the end of each half-hour of
waiting. This charge is payable in cash in SEK directly to the kayak
renter on arrival. In case of delay, we can not guarantee that the
ordered transport of kayaks can be performed immediately when the client
arrives. If the client is delayed, it is the kayak renter who decides
when it is possible to carry out the transport.
A contingent liability, containing the existing provisions, shall be signed by each client before the paddling trip starts.
The
customer is recommended to bring cash in SEK, since there are many
places along the canoe trail on Ronnebyån and in the archipelago outside
Järnavik where credit cards are not accepted.
The client is
responsible for all equipment until it is returned to the canoe/kayak renter,
and if equipment is damaged or lost, the client is liable according to a
fixed price list. The equipment must be well cleaned upon return. For
cleaning, there is a fee of 100 SEK per object. Paddelkompaniet does not
have any insurance that covers the client. We recommend you to check
whether your own insurance applies.
